i got the source code for a game but i cant find an application of any kind thus rendering it useless
so how would i get it to play?

You'd need to compile it using a compiler.

This is assuming the code is written for your particular operating system and environment.

What is it?

its quake two
yeah i am obsessed with those games lol
but i downloaded it from a file hosting site and the readme is just talking about editing it and copyright stuff but theres nothing to say thart you cant play it

Well, the source code you downloaded is just the engine. It's not the game itself.

The assets (creatures, levels, textures, weapons, etc) are all still copyrighted and not available for download.

oh ... well that sucks i'll try ebay probably get the actual disk and what not

ok i can get quake I, II , III(gold)
for 175 but thats a lowest bid so probly about 10 quid
thats about 20 dollars so
