My little niece has been throwing up, wondering what we could give her from around the house to ease the throwing up, she is 4 1/2

My Mum used to give me a glass of cold lime juice, yucky but settles the tummy.

Ginger is apparently good but personally the smell/taste of it makes me heave so not good.

I find mint (as long as it isn't peppermint) very helpful.

I always go for chamomile tea. Is this a one off thing or recurring. Always good to find the cause.

No its just a 1 off, her brother was a bit sick on sunday night / monday, now his sister has it, just don't have any money for lemonade/ soda til the morning.

Is there any way you could contact a doctor for advise?
dry crackers can help or a glass of milk to help line the stomach amd protect it form any acid produced when vomiting.

If she has a stomach bug the only way to stop vomiting is to stop feeding her, dont give her anything to eat and encourage her to only take small sips of fluid. Ice pops or lollies are perfect because the fluid is taken through the tongue.

Yeah that's what I thort, well ill tell her to try that, and see how she goes, hopefully its just a regular flu, especially with the swine flu about. There's been 2 more cases confirmed in australia 2day but not were we r, thank god.

I agree with Tree, keep her light food wise, maybe a dry cracker, lay off the dairy products.

Plenty of fluids and seek medical attention if she's still puking or gets diorreha after 24hrs.

If it's white, sticky and not yours dont touch it.
