You could try link exchanges with similar sites

1. Do SEO (google it, it's 3 am and i haven't slept for 2 days, so i am not going to explain)
2. Put the sites in ODP (same as above)
3. Add your sites to every directory website you can find
4. Design your own banners (fake buttons always do the trick) and join a decent banner exchange program.

Hello, i just woke up and here are the details i promised.

1. SEO means Search Engine Optimization, it basically means you have to makes some small modifications to your site so Google can "see" it better (imagine putting makeup on a woman). When doing SEO you have to consider :

a. keywords : some words that are most revelant to your website
b. description : a short paragraph describing your website (try to avoid statements like "the best" "great" "so cool"

These go to your meta tags.

c. image size : use small pictures
d. ALT : use ALT attributes when dealing with pictures (basically describe the picture in a short sentence)
e. don't use a lot of flash as it is not SEO friendly

2. Join the ODP ( Open Directory Project )....the ODP is the biggest directory database in the world, ALL major search engines get "inspired" from it and having your website in the RIGHT category with a good description can do the trick.

3. Put your websites in every directory sites you can find (eg: Yahoo, Google it .) Google's little bots travel from site to site and if they see your sites in a lot of places they will visit your sites a lot and you will be on top of the list in no time.

4. All of the above are free and you can easily do them by yourself DO NOT GET IN ANY PYRAMID SCAMS, getting other sites to link to you is a good way to get on top but you don't have to pay an obscene amount of money for it.

5. Install Google AdSense.

6. Banner exchange : design your own banner (note : fake buttons, funny adds and fake frames do the trick) and try to find similar sites to yours and contact the admin. This is where you have to be tough, fake banners usually result in the loss of some dignity for the displaying site, so the admin will try to up the price, stay ferm and try to negotiate a good PPC (pay per click) deal.

7. I forgot to put this higher : REGISTER AT EVERY SEARCH ENGINE YOU CAN FIND

8. Go on the "street", join forums, web communities and use the site as your signature, or as a related fact to a conversation. DO NOT SPAM !!!
