Nothing more, i want to be a clean type of girl with no infections, and what not.
How are your ear lobes any less likely to get infected than another part of your body?
You probably got it done with a gun, right? That makes you far more likely to get an infection (or HIV) than going to a reputable professional shop and getting it done with a sterile needle. Guns can't be sterilized, and are usually "sanitized" with Windex or something similar, which will not kill any blood borne pathogens that might be on the gun from the people it's 'pierced' before. As soon as the jewelry touches the gun, it is no longer sterile either. So basically, you're getting an unsterile blunt object that's had contact with someone else's blood being shot through your lobe. Yum.
When you go to a reputable shop to get a piercing done, you will be pierced with a very sharp sterile one-use needle and sterilized jewelry by a piercer who knows and understands human anatomy and probably has training in blood borne pathogens, first aid, and how to prevent cross-contamination.
So really, what's more likely to get infected, my double nostrils or your earlobes? |
