Anyone else use eTrade?

I've had a few bad experiences with eTrade now, I find them to be obtrusive and inefficient.

The latest incomprehsible piece of s*** was the complete failure to transfer money from my eTrade account to my general checking account. The money was debited from my eTrade account and were supposed to show in my checking account in three working days, this was on the 13th of this month. I look in my account yesterday and it's not there yet. I call my bank and they have no recod of said transfer and suggest that I need to contact eTrade. I jump online to my eTrade account and the money is back in my brokerage account! No record of the transfer, no credit cancelling out the debit, just all record of the transfer completely deleted! Bastards!

I swear I'd change brokerages if it weren't for the fact that my company puts my shares and options into an eTrade account and I can't change that.

Any other eTrade nightmare stories? Or am I the unfortunate exception? Perhaps they have excellent service as a rule and I've just had a one off bad experience?

OK i have no idea what you are on about but its my personal mission to post in every thread so

i just got off of the phone with them... it seems that my account has a hold on it until i give them some voice data... really not the right way to get a customer.. anyway, Etrade won't work, and after waiting through the most annoying robot ever... i can't cancel my account until monday.. has anyone ever gotten money back from these people?

Should we file a class action lawsuit?

well i found the same with them. paypal seemed okey. if anyone wants to save a bit check out this site my buddy told me bout it and since i am an office geek i do use the stuff. its gallianteties dot com have fun good luck with the trading bud

Yea my father in law uses etrade and he has had horrible experiences.

I mailed in a check for an ETRADE savings account about two weeks ago and still have not had a reply from them. Is this normal?

I just didn't feel comfortable using them. I hadn't heard anything bad, it's just i would much prefer my bank helping me invest.

I like E-Trade... I've never had any problems with them whatsoever.
