I guess your right. I wouldn't say that asking for reparations would have been a bad thing but now I think it is way too late. The damage is done. Street trends have started and crime in the black community is so expanded. Too little too late...........

Women did get reparations in a way. It's called the 19th Amendment. Women are also allowed in the workplace and can file for divorce. You don't hear a lot og people saying that women only belong in the kitchen. If someone did, they would be deemed misogynistic. This is true, and I wouldn't be surprised if Obama becomes president and assassination attempts are made. Too think that its too late for black people to fully realize their potential as Americans is the same as giving up, I for one believe that there will come a day not too far in the future when all people will be respected on the merit of their actions and not their skin color. We have to start respecting people who deserve our respect, regardless of color or creed, and what better time to start then now?
