To say the way things are are the way they've always been is ridiculous.
Racism will never end. I know sad isn't it? That we can't all just see that if it talks like a human, walks like a human, laughs like a human it's a human......................

That doesn't mean we weren't taken from our home though. Just because some blacks helped doesn't mean that we don't deserve anything. It's probably too late I guess though.

Other minorities as well but since lack of help from the start blacks haven't really been on top with things like money and education. That is why it is hard for a lot of blacks to fulfill their dreams. On top of that if you get close to your dream you have prejudice who try to ruin it for you because they don't want to see you succeed.
I guess your right. I wouldn't say that asking for reparations would have been a bad thing but now I think it is way too late. The damage is done. Street trends have started and crime in the black community is so expanded. Too little too late...........
Now I feel bad, I didn't mean to come off as a racist bastard or anything, If I did I apologize. I just don't think money would help at all, I think it would hurt America as a whole far more then it would help America. It cant be too late if we start believing its too late, then it is too late, money is not the answer education is.

I don't think hat at all of you. I see you as someone who is more understanding of what black people had to go through. Your not just the typical " Blacks should just shut up about oppression!" type of American. I can see that you at least know that it was a great deal of suffering and should have had reparations. I still think it's too late for that though. The damage on the black community is done. Really I don't know if we can change to be on a higher level than we are now. We just have to build ourselves up ourselves. It won't be easy though.

Of course it wont, but it will be all the greater for having done it yourselves.

I don't know if that will work out. Many people really feel strongly about their prejudice views. Voters don't want black Presidents and I think if Obama does become president someone will try to shoot him. I don't know if blacks will ever have the same respect as whites......

This is true, and I wouldn't be surprised if Obama becomes president and assassination attempts are made. Too think that its too late for black people to fully realize their potential as Americans is the same as giving up, I for one believe that there will come a day not too far in the future when all people will be respected on the merit of their actions and not their skin color. We have to start respecting people who deserve our respect, regardless of color or creed, and what better time to start then now?

I quote from my mom " If America doesn't want themselves to look worse than it is. They better not touch hat man"
I quot because even people from other countries support Obama and we would look pretty bad if we assasinated our first president of minority. We would look more racist than we already look.

I haven't given up on the black community. I just think I will die of old age before discrimination in general dies out.
