Umm I dont know, I just like conspiracy theories

The US was determined to get there before the Soviets beat them to it. When you watch the documentaries about the possibilities of it all being a hoax, some things just don't add up and it gets you questioning things.

I do believe we have landed on the moon, I just don't think that the US landed there when they say they did.

You know... dispite what people say. there is something not right with the moon landing and with all the evidence presented about any conspiracy theory people are going to beleive or not..

Me my self i like to think that the world isnt as Black and white as people make out..

There is "something not right," but the only things you can point out are 100% unsubstantiated "facts" that you read on the internet, but have been debunked a million times over by real, actual people with credentials who know what they're talking about.

You clearly don't. As if you really know anything about the Van Allen Belts, or the type of radiation that exists there, or the levels of radiation that are dangerous to humans, or the actual mechanism of damage for various types of radtion on the human body. All you know is what you read on a conspiracy theory website.

Dujac is right - you are doing a disservice to this forum by spreading "facts" that are patently untrue as if you were some kind of expert, when in reality you are parroting some website that is horribly wrong.

I went there in the late 1970's.. When I was at Art College and sucking sugar lumps with LSD. Can't say I actually landed on the moon

You know.

I use "the moon landing hoax" and "the McDonalds coffee case" as "dumba** meters for the Internet."

These two topics are ripe with uninformed people spouting their heads off as if they knew what they were talking about. It's somehow "Internet common knowledge" that the McDonald's coffee case was a frivolous lawsuit and that the moon landing was a hoax. They're like old wives' tales.. they catch on because they're interesting, have some somewhat plausible "facts" to support, but the reality is that the "Internet common knowledge" is completely wrong.

Unfortunately, these types of things are so common that we have entire websites dedicated to storing huge databases of these things. The real hoax is "the moon landing was a hoax."

Please do not assume where my information comes from.. and please do not talk down at me.. you know nothing on what i actually know, where my experience lie..

Conspiracy theorys and such tlike are that theorys.. none a i admit dont base at all in fact. But what your doing is trying to be pig headed and "know it all" about everything people put on here...
If you feel that the theory is bunk, then state your case, and stop meking personal jibes at people. I dont like it and i feel others dont to...
And as for what i beleif if its fact or not, i like to fantasies that there is more to this world than facts figures and research, from egg heads at MIT, oxford..etc.. because even the pro's in my expereince get things wrong..

Remember conspiracy theorys people are moden day fairy tales..

Whats wrong with dreaming??

Dream about what hasnt been discovered; not what thousands of people spent their lives
creating.

I believe it happened, personally, but I don't care much

The thing that's wrong with dreaming is that you are claiming your dreams are fact and reality. You talk about the radiation belts as if you've studied nuclear physics at Cal Tech.

The problem is that the information you purport to be fact is wrong. The problem is that people who don't know a damn thing about radiation listen to you speak about the Van Allen Belts as if you ewre an expert. The problem is that the things you are saying about the Van Allen Belts are completely wrong.

No i studied Aeronautical engineering.. and have a BEng in it.. My degree came from Kingston Universty. With in my degree was Human factors.. and within that there is space flight and the effects in the human body.. Being a fan of Space travel and flight, i was very interested and looked in to it somemore. i did a peice on it and had alot of Universty lectures agree with me.. CAL-Tech is an american funded, american grown, american scientists.. there is a world of scientist and engineers out there that would disagree with MIT, cal tech.. etc.. in a heart beat..

Now im not stating i am a expert in radiation nor am i stating what i say is right. all im doing i pushing out there another "theory" on why i feel the moon landing is a hoax from my point of view..

You can apply this arguement to people that beleive in religion..

Claim: "At its weakest the belt would cook a human.. the radiation we are talking about is direct from the sun"

Reality: "So the effect of such a dose, in the end, would not be enough to make the astronauts even noticeably ill. The low-level exposure could possibly cause cancer in the long term."
link [spider.ipac.caltech.edu]

"It's been calculated that travelling at speed through the Van Allen belt would result in exposure of 1 rem. Radiation sickness symptoms don't start to show until you get around 25."
link [www.redzero.demon.co.uk]

"Radiation doses measured during Apollo were significantly lower than the yearly average of 5 rem[*] set by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission for workers who use radioactive materials in factories and institutions across the United States. Thus, radiation was not an operational problem during the Apollo Program."
link [lsda.jsc.nasa.gov]

More interesting facts:

"Each mission flew a slightly different trajectory in order to access its landing site, but the orbital inclination of the translunar coast trajectory was always in the neighborhood of 30°. Stated another way, the geometric plane containing the translunar trajectory was inclined to the earth's equator by about 30°. A spacecraft following that trajectory would bypa** all but the edges of the Van Allen belts.

This is not to dispute that passage through the Van Allen belts would be dangerous. But NASA conducted a series of experiments designed to investigate the nature of the Van Allen belts, culminating in the repeated traversal of the Southern Atlantic Magnetic Anomaly (an intense, low-hanging patch of Van Allen belt) by the Gemini 10 astronauts."

Another interesting fact:

"The radiation is actually evidence that the astronauts went to the Moon. 33 of 36 of the Apollo astronauts who were on the nine Apollo missions to leave Earth orbit have early stage cataracts that have been shown to be caused by radiation exposure to cosmic rays during their trip."

Conspiracism, is a theory we all agree that sometimes lack evidence to prove that its true.. agreed..

who are the people that normally disprove them??

Oh thats right.. governement sponsered/paid proffessionals. what are normally conspiracy theorys based on.. governments movements etc..

strange how conspiracies are never disproved by people that aint on the government pay role...

Next you be saying that Kennedy was assinatated be Oswall..
