So.....

Thinking logically is great.
But I have realised emotional intelligence is now required.

Two years it has taken to sort out some negitive thoughts and break that pain cycle. Mainly by hiding behind logic.

Now I need to master emotional intelligence and start applying it.

You cant use logic on emotion.

But emotion stops logic.

So any books or video recommendations on emotional intelligence would be greatly appreciated.

I think Daniel Goldman is your forerunner in motional intelligence. He's wrote many books.

Personally i'd say people watch, as much as possible.
Also ask yourself often "how would i feel in his/her shoes?", empathy plays a big part in EI. Just remember though sometimes an arsehole is simply an arsehole and there is no emotional reason for it, they're simply an arsehole by nature.
Use your emotions and adapt to them..Feeling angry...go dig the garden.Feeling confused...go for a walk and think...eventually they'll adapt to you.
That's it really, eventually you do these things without thinking.

It's quite evident from your post over resent months since i've been coming here, you're already half way there.

Thanks I appreciate that. Going to give Mr Goldman a try.
