You can get the network driver here:

link [h10025.www1.hp.com]

Not sure about the audio driver. You may want to try a generic Conexant HD Audio driver.

LOL. If you're going to correct someone, do it right! It's "I haven't got any sound"

Congratulations! Your problems might not be over yet. You might find you have problems with your "BIOS", but lets not worry about that right now. There are a few solutions. First off I am assuming that your HP came factory preinstalled with Vista. If it was not a lot of problems to convert to XP then I would: 1.Reinstall Vista
2.Get a program like "Driver Magician" or "Driver Genius" and back up all drivers with their "AUTO EXTRACT" option to a CD/DVD. 3. Reinstall XP again and just insert the disk you created and click extract. This way you will have all the drivers that HP puts in from the factory which are usually proprietary to Mfg.
or
1. Find the model number of the motherboard which will be on the board itself. 2. Google the number. (ex. Asus310648 drivers) and you should find which drivers your missing.
Sorry for the novel..Trust me the first method is the best because you will have ALL the factory drivers.

R U the official spelling and/or grammar Professor on this forum or just in training because your correction of the OP is not right either It would be I have an HP Pavillion blah, blah, blah etc....You spelled downgraded> downgradeD whatsat??, and it's supposed to, if we were that meticulous> and I haven't any sound now. But let's not dissect this, if we understand what the person is saying, whom are we to correct other's when we are making mistakes left, right and center ourselves, all we can ask is that someone tries, different strokes for different folks. Hey! if I can understand the gist of what a person is saying I never abase anyone's spelling and/or grammar, not my place. I know you were trying to help but now this person may feel like crappola for something that wasn't important to begin with

You have to go to HP site and search out your model type, with the Vista Program. It will tell you what sound card you have then you can either get the drivers from HP or go to Driver Downloads.com and look for the drivers there and they are free. Hope this helps

Vista drivers will not work with XP. It's a totally different driver model.
