For those of you who have satellite radio or would buy it if you could or got around to it, what do you think? XM or Sirius?

I have XM. I love it. I got it because I wanted to be able to listen to the baseball games. I like all the stations, and don't really have any complaints so far. There's a station for every decade, like 5 country stations, quite a few hit stations, talk shows, rock stations, everything!

Jonnythan has Sirius. He got his because he wanted to listen to the football games.

XM had a contract with MLB. Sirius has one with the NFL, NBA, and NHL. We wanted a satellite radio that would have Jonnythan's football games, *and* my baseball games. But alas! There was none! I guess if there was, the other one would go out of business pretty quickly...

So which one? XM or Sirius?

I would get Sirius because they have shows on their hosted by people I like, such as Bam Margera and Tony Hawk. And I really like their underground and indie stations.

i think xm is better than sirius

i have sirius. its not bad, but i prefer XM. dont know why really, they just seem to play more music, and better music.

I prefer the music on Sirius, particularly the country stations and the alt rock stations.

Sirius also has NPR and the NFL (plus Howard Stern in a couple of months), which I love.

I like XM's pop and sports stations, and the fact that they have MLB.

Pros and cons to each.

I don't have satellite, nor have I ever heard of any of them before, but I'd choose Sirius. 1) You mentioned the NHL and 2) It would remind me of Sirius Black

Must have my hockey games & that would help tremendously since I don't get the stinkin' t.v. reception

I like the MLB stations. Home Plate has all day long of shows talking about baseball.
