So Australia has decided its time to bid for the 2018 or 2022 World cups which I'am all for its the biggest sporting event in the world and would bring a lot off toursit over here for the month its held. But tlak over here is that if we are susseful at sercureing the World cup then the timing would clash with the our 2 biggest winter sports AFL and NRL.

I dont know for sure but by reports in the media under FIFA rules there can be no other major sporting events held in the host nation for the month the world cup is played for in the 4 week period leading up to it, is this true? Dont really like that idea if it is the case. I love my AFL and to go 2 months without a game because some forgein code has come in dosent sit well with me and it wouldnt sit well with many AFL or NRL fans.
