OUR MISSION.....

The WFP is a grassroots organization that was formed out of the minimum wage campaign. We came together to bring about change in Oklahoma. Working Families have gone too long without a voice. The goal of the Working Families Project is to more forcefully inject the issues of working-class, middle- class, and poor people—like jobs, health care, education, diversity, clean campaigns, repealing right to work and housing—into the public debate, and hold candidates and elected officials accountable on those issues. Our organizing strategy is to start local, think long-term, and combine campaign work with organizing and education, and not waste supporters' votes on candidates who do not represent the needs of working Oklahoma families.
