My wife is a stay at home mom. We wanted her to be able to stay at home with the kids and still make money. We found something that works for us and gives us residual income every month. I will not make claims of making millions just simply making a living.

I know people have a hard time with the work at home scams that you have to weed through so it is hard to believe when something legitimate comes along. If anyone is interested in working at home and has thought about making a little or a lot of extra cash I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions.

That was how I felt too, but I realized that with education and knowledge that not all of them are scams. The ones that are scams do not give all the information needed and seem vague and shady. Work at home or work at work as it may be is not for everyone. You have to know what is right for you and follow it, but don't judge all jobs or opportunities the same.

There were many people who used to sell books. These books were stocked at home. I don't know if this existed in the UK or not, but I would imagine it did.I work from home as a MLM marketer and sell wellness products. I struggled for a long time during which I saw others drop out, some within a short time of two months. I know some of them call it a scam despite seeing me make a go of it.
On the other hand there are a whole lot of scamsters who are waiting to pounce on you. So I feel it is best if you take it on a case by case basis.
The other things you have pointed out is 'being dodgy over here.' I would place an accent on the 'over here'. In my opinion Americans have a greater appetite for risk than Brits. This along with the dream of almost every third American to become a millionaire. So many schemes start in the US which would not in UK.

Look what a stupid site told me!!! Whatever you do, do not work for them!!! Their company name is at the bottom of the post:

We have been in the e commerce business since 1995, and first of all, the chances of sales happening within the first 30 days of opening a brand new web site are rare. Ask any e commerce expert and they will concur. Secondly, you say that you have advertised it also, and state it as if this is a definitive reason for sales to be expected and because they have not come in yet, therefore we must be a scam and the products not wanted.

Again and with all due respect, your expectations are unrealistic as they pertain to business and the nature of retail sales and advertising.

Thirdly, simply advertising does not a sale guarantee. In addition there are many factors that are involved when trying to gauge a accurate return on your investment. We do know less than 30 days is not a lot of time to identify target markets, conduct proper demographics research and begin to construct an effective advertising campaign that will maximize your ROI and generate sales. We have no way of knowing if you executed an effective, proper advertising campaign etc.

I realize I should never have trusted your company (I guess the link for law enforcement at the bottom of your site should have been a dead give away that it was a scam & should not be trusted).

Link to law enforcement? Care to share this link with us? We are not sure what you are speaking of? (at the bottom of their site is a link to law enforcement; I guess that shud have told me it was a hoax!)

Ok, please have them contact us at their convenience. They need to speak to Ern Greene.

We do not rip off anyone and want to caution you on slandering our business.

I would truly appreciate a complete refund of my hard earned money I wasted on this site(which, by the way, does not offer over 10,000 items, as your site claims)

Your statement is incorrect. We do offer over 10,000 products soon to be 40,000. You are incorrect. (Just so u know the site they sold me actually only had a grand total of 3000 items on it!)

Remember, loser pays all legal fees of the opposing party. We have a strong case that we have conducted ourselves in the most ethical business way and will fight any lawsuit you bring vigorously and we will counter sue you for all our legal fees and all other expenses rendered to defend ourselves. Because we have chosen "choice of venue" on our terms and condition s you agreed to, you must travel to Las Vegas to pursue a lawsuit.

We hope you do not choose this route as it will be very costly for you also, win or lose.

We have done everything that we have advertised and stand by our policies. You have not even had your site long enough to see any kind of results. Any profession looking into your claims will see this instantly.

Your claims of results are totally irrelevant. Anyone can advertise but it means nothing as we have no way of
knowing what you placed in your adds, who you directed your adds to? One can create an add for selling toothpaste, write terrible, ineffective, unconvincing add copy, then fund the add with 1million dollars and get ZERO results. So you see your claims as they pertain here are totally irrelevant in the real world.

We do hope you will reconsider and we are happy to assist you in making your online venture a true success. But again as per our policies, all sales are final.

Best regards,
Management

The good and the bad get clubbed togetherr. This is what forums are meant for, to separate the two. But then what may have been a good experience for one is bad for another. In my MLM business I can tell you that.
The company you work for is important but so is your effort.

I freelance and you do have to be careful from home. There is legit work out there, just hard to find at times. Plus some of these job boards like getafreelancer and elance are good, yet people want you to work for 3$ an hour or whatever, YIKES>..

I agree be extremely careful with these work from home offers!

I would usually say go for it if you dont have t5o pay them anything to get started! The ones you have to put money into are usually the ones where there is some scam running!

Avon and tupperware etc are a good bet for mums and such! Also some companies let you do data entry or other such admin work from home?

Is an Aunty hehe!
