| treebee Government Hooker ![]() London, United Kingdom | #1 The union jack is the flag of britain, symbolising the joining of england, scotland and wales. It should not be used to represent independent political parties because it then becomes a symbol of thier beliefs. The tories, labour and libdem parties all have thier own flags. I suggest other parties do the same. | ||||||

hedkandi1984_21![]() London, United Kingdom | #7 @SparklyKatie Said ![]() Also if people want to use it they could at least fly it the right way up unlike these BNP idiots All memebers of the British Nazi Party are idiots

| treebee Government Hooker ![]() London, United Kingdom | #8 you know what bought this about? I have temporary decking on my grass and i took it up and it has this imprint on my grass the same shape as the union jack and you know it made me so paranoid that people thought i was some kind of racist scum and then i thought, its MY FLAG! why should i feel this way? | ||||||

joRdixx![]() Ballina, Australia | #9 The union jack is on a lot of flags. Australia's, New Zealand's, its on some of Australian states and territorys flags. We also have the sourthern cross which is 5 stars creating a cross pointing towards the south (I see it every night too) lol

| SparklyKatie \m//O_O\\m/ ![]() Sheffield, United Kingdom | #10 It is your flag treebs, the Union Jack is a flag celebrating union, not segregation. Kind of stupid that the BNP use it in the first place really. | ||||||

joRdixx![]() Ballina, Australia | #11 True they weren't even creative they just used what was already there. Bit stupid really.

| SKUBER Deleted ![]() N/A, | #12 Didn't this all begin in the hippie era? The Union Jack became a fashion item on clothing and every other thing you can think of. The same sort of thing happened in the USA at about the same time. But here it was not taken so lightly as in UK. But for the BNP to use it as the symbol of their party is totally wrong, and distasteful! But apparantly not illegal. There were people over here who wanted a Constitutional ammendment to prevent misuse of the US flag, that would have gone too far in my opinion! | |||||||
|
| treebee Government Hooker ![]() London, United Kingdom | #13 If the BNP were banned from using it they would use it to thier advantage. Its a sad thing. Its like the f***ing KKK using the stars and stripes. | ||||||

| treebee Government Hooker ![]() London, United Kingdom | #15 I understand people in the south dont like that very much. But what i mean is, if they used the flag that represented unity it would be kind of dumb. From a thread i made here i understand the confederate flag just represents the states in the confederation. | ||||||
