I see countless threads where the UK posters talk of American shows they watch...Flash Forward, How I Met Your Mother, True Blood etc, to name a few, but why don't we get English shows over here like that.
I grew up with British shows and love British comedy but I find it a shame that we don't get any cross-over shows here.
Or do we?? and I don't know!?

I get alot on DVD, but would be nice to see them as they aired.
I'm poor.
Or too stingy to spend it on DVD's instead of something else. Damn my nature. I need a 12 step program.

Canada takes them from us? -teasing
I should have known. Canada and they're crazy shenanigans, always messing up our American ways.

A lot of the popular shows here are based on British versions, like Friends, American Idol, Big Brother, The Office, etc. But I love Keeping Up Appearances and I don't think it would come across as well if it was Americanized.

That still different...I mean I do like a the British in our shows...but its still produced here and therefore the humor and jokes are ingrained to us.
Besides...we totally took friends and made it American's favorite.
I'm talking about actual cross-over shows.

I am sure you do, unless the TV studios don't get our sense of humour

I think America spends a lot more on tv than we do, so the quality of your shows are better.
As soon as we have a good show the Americans make an American version of it. E.G. The Office.
So I guess the answer is....we don't want your stinking shows, we'll just take your idea's and do it bigger and badder!

we don't...we only get the extremely old comedies like Mr. Bing, Keeping up Appearances etc.
