were all as bad as each other! everybodies racist, its so easy to slip up and say you black/white/muslim/paki such and such. as i put in a post ages ago i grew up with my whole family using derogatory terms simply to describe someone (see that nig over there, that paki bloke etc etc...) and now i dont know any different i know its wrong but in the company of my own family i still talk the same. thing is they're a different genration where that really was just banter and just a way of chatting! in the old days it was ok to nickname a black friend of yours summat like milky or chalkie. i dont see a problem with that personally, it was just seen as affectionate and pally. i think all races should pull themselves together and have a bloody good joke and a laugh with each other! englshman, irishman, welshman or muslim, bangladeshi, and englishman jokes. problem is nobodies got a sense of humour anymore i blame bloody labour government making being white, english and christian damn near illegal

To the person who started this post, I don't agree with anything you said. I honestly do not think black people are more racist, or that any other race are more racist. As a black woman with a mixture of friends, I have actually witnessed more racism/ignorance from white to black, but I wouldn't use that as any form of evidence. I would just like to add that the area in which you live might has an influence on a lot of what you're saying, which is all frankly bulls**t.

People are racist because people are w****rs (Generally, as opposed to individually)!

There is no need for it, we are all born equal, regardless of skin colour or religion, sexuality etc.
It is our actions that make us better or worse people - and it is those that are prejudiced towards those who are different to themselves in some way that are the lesser people!

I think what we've failed to bring up in this topic is the fact that we all have a different point of view. It's natural to think that your particular group is subject to more racism than others. Why bother to stand by these views when it's pretty much impossible to see the whole picture anyway?

Racisim is nothing but a venue for hatred. Hared only leaves room for pain, its unpleasent... and it only makes you seem ignorant. I believe that both "blacks" and "whites" can be racist. However I have found that "black" people tend to use racial descrimination as a daily "get out of jail free card" so to speak. Many African American's use racism for a reason they didn't get something or for a reason they had something done to them... But I'm sure everyone does that sometimes with something or another.

Can we meaningfully measure this kind of thing? It's not like whipping todgers out to see how's got the longest.

It varies as to which is the most racist. Racism occurs on both sides but for different reasons. What's going on under the hood, perhaps even subconsiously?

To white people its mostly defensive-agressive in character. To non-white, it's mostly agressive-defensive in character.

Whites:
Whites may feel their culture or way of life is being eroded. So feel threatened. Some will get angry at non-whites rather than their governments. The more the new culture spreads rapidly, the greater the resistance. Technically this is not racism but can foster it. Mostly its defensive survival instinct. To reduce the spread by being intolerent, can lead to character slurs.

Non-Whites:

Non-whites have to make it the host country. They naturally spread their culture. When they experience resistance, it can be seen as threat, and become overtly aggressive, or in some cases covertly aggresive. Technically this is not racism, but may lead to it. Mostly its aggressive survival instinct and can be subconcious.

To weaken the host population various strategies are used, which maybe concious, unconcious, overt or covert. Such as promoting culture, victim psychology, divide & conquor by playing the race-card. Spreading genes to both races. That's why many non-white women end up as uncomplaining single parents. The male tend to stay with white women, which prevent procreation with white males. Again this is mostly a unconsious covert strategy.

Another approach is to be more isolationist which develops into a state within a state. Religion can maintain this state of affairs.

what a load of bollocks! some people hate people of a difference colour cause of their skin colour. simple as! some people think asians smell bad, that they 'all abuse white girls and leave them pregnant' all kinds of crap, simple fact is people hate other skin colours
