i think i'll explain my point in full.


east and west africans have a slight physical advantage in certain activitys e.g track and field when compared with other races e.g Europeans.

i and others believe these people have this slight advantage due to physical attributes that are more common to these people.

i also believe that these physical attributes are a consequence of the enviroment in which these people live.
An enviroment, to which these people have adapted too over time, resulting in these physical attributes.

You're talking about overall averages at the most competetive end of things. Africans don't even always win these events.

The types of averages you are talking about are completely worthless because they do not apply to individuals and they do not result in reliable predictions about anything.

Try reading "The race Gallery" by Marek Kohn.

It is an open and honest scientific account of the difference in races. It dosent pander to anybody from either the left or the right of such a sensitive subject.

It explains that there are very real differences in geneticall makeup and physical/mental abilities of various races. It also suggests possible reasons for this including environment, historical events, sociological and modern influences.

But it does admit that the studies are general and relate in no way to the individual.

This book goes on to suggest that political influences from the left prevent research into this field which could be used to treat disorders particular to a specific race.

Before dismissing this topic with a scathing screech of RACISM . It may be better to admit that there are differences between us that warrant a closer look.

A difference in race doesn't mean a superiority though.

I reckon we are like salamanders. We can adapt over time and learn to fit in with different ways of life and different races other than our own. We can instinctively become more like that other race of people.
