Where are your Grandparents From?

My Grandad and Granny on my mums side are both from Keith in the North East of Scotland. (B)

My Grampa on my Dad's side is from Greenock near Glasgow, and my Nan on his side is from near Queensferry not too far from Edinburgh.

My Nan and Grandad on my dads side are from Wales

My Gran on my mums side is from Balloch in Scotland and I'm not sure where her real dad is from, her step-dad is from somewhere in England.

(All my grandads are dead)

All but one of mine is. Strangely enough the eldest of the four is the one who is still alive. My mums mum is 90 now.

My Paternal Grandfather was from Kiel, Germany he emmigrated to the USA in 1912 his wife my Grandmother was from Kohlberg, Pomerania (now part of Poland) They met and were married in Kiel. My Grandmothers family were in Kiel to travel down the Kieler Kanal to Hamburg,there to take ship to America. My Grandmother could not come, she was a nurse trainee with the Prussian Army. My Greatgrandparents offered to pay for my Grandfathers passage to New York, he accompanied them. My Grandmother returned to Potsdam and secured her release from the military,because she was married and pregnant. She then took ship to NYC!

My paternal grandmother is from Bristol, she's lived most of her life thus far on the same street actually so not very exotic My maternal grandmother is from Somerset but is half Welsh I think.

As far as my grandfathers go I've no idea, I've never met one of them as he randomly left the family before I was born and my other grandfather is dead, don't know much about him.

All of mine were just from Donegal. My dads side were from Irish speaking towns though. I wish I was that awesome at Irish....would've saved me on alot of studying at school.

One is from Oklahoma and one is from where I am from.

My maternal Grandfather was from southern Indiana,he lied about his age and joined the US Navy at 16 and was assigned to the Submarine Service, first serving in one of the Holland Boats. The first submarines to be commisioned into any navies. He served in the US Navy retiring in 1938,but reenlisting in 1941! My maternal Grandmother's family was from Boston Mass.. Having arrived in Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1721, Her father my greatgrandfather served in the Civil War,and remained in the Army after the war. Whereupon he was assigned to the great plains in the "Indian Wars", it was there that he met my greatgrandmother,a girl of the Blackfoot Nation.
My grand father met my Grandmother while on shore leave at Boston.

Both of mine were born in Hagerstown, Maryland.

But I've just discovered that my great great great great great great great great great great grandfather was born in Germany.

Mother of Mother= England.
Father of Mother= Germany.

Mother of Father= Canada.
Father of Father= France.

Paternal Grandfather - Australia
Paternal Grandmother - India (Her Dad was doing a tour of duty over there or something )

Maternal Grandfather - Irish
Maternal Grandmother - England

Though my Dad is Canadian (thats where he was born), but my Dad's Dad is the only one with an accent

Mine were all from London. My parents have done quite a lot of research into family history and my dad's side just seems to be from London since way back and my mum's side are mainly from London and only goes as far afield as a great-grandfather from Bristol and a great-great-grandmother from Waterford.

My mums parent's were cockneys and my dads were from the Nottingham area I believe.
