I just thought it might be helpful for us to highlight what's good to do in Little Rock. I think most people have problems figuring out where to take their dates or just go to for fun, because the common view is "there's nothing to do here!"

So, to help remedy that, I thought I'd throw some stuff out there (plus I have nothing better to do) that's worth doing here in LR:

Murray's Dinner Playhouse is currently giving their live performance of "The Sound of Music" this month. If you want to take a date somewhere really nice for an evening and have the money to spare, this is a great place to go. Classy, cultural, and entertaining. Trust me guys, you can't lose with this one.

Also this month, the Arkansas Repertory Theater is showing live performances of "My Fair Lady". The Rep isn't typically a cheap place to go, but it's always well worth the expense.

Of course, for us 80's rockers out there, Alltel Arena is featuring some great concerts with Van Halen and Chicago both coming to town.

Feel free to throw in some more suggestions if you know of some current happenings in the area!

I will say that Murray's puts on a good show. I saw Sound the other night and it was worth it.

If your into Blues, old R & B and Jazz check out the Afterthought on Friday or Saturday nights. Live Entertainment, a good atmosphere and plenty of libations...gotta be 21 to get in though.

Try living in north dakota, we get to enjoy clean air and water... besides that umm... cow crap and green pastures?
