I need a new car but I can't find anything that appeals to me. Anyone got any ideas? I don't want to spend more than Ł10,000 and it needs to be no more than a couple of years old, petrol engine, manual transmission, front wheel drive (cos I saw the struggle all the rear wheel drive cars we're having last time it snowed). It also needs to look nice and be a decent colour, definitely not silver.

You have a multitude of choices within your budget.

I'm assuming you're an experienced driver .. so consider what is important to you .. comfort, speed, appearance, practicality, running cost etc etc.

The list literally goes on and on .. maybe listing all your 'likes' and then scoring them against your 'must have's ' will help.

Fair enough. I said so because the builders son exchanged his SAAB for a Golf for maybe 5 thousand.

There's plenty of Mustangs over here, but they're all left-hand drive and I couldn't put up with that.
