The Boondocks doesn't count. It is an American series, and the creator wasn't going for the anime look.

Hellsing is the greatest. Other good ones include Trigun, Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, S-Cry-Ed, and .Hack Sign

a tossup between Rurouni Kenshin and Cowboy Bebop...

in the end, the music from Bebop tips the scale...

Bebop starts out happy, funny but with a dark edge which hovers around... you know there's something in the characters' past which is dark and they're running from..

ultimately it catches up with them..

anyway, did anyone catch the movies of Rurouni Kenshin? Trust and Betrayal which was sort of a prologue.. of how he became Battousai and how he got his scar... and Reflections...

i lent them to a friend and she cried for a week

the anime i consider to be the best anime is TENJO TENGE. My favourite is definateley NARUTO! But BLEACH is close on its tail!! outlaw star is also quite cool, and trigun. dammit - i just plain love ANIME!!! oh-oh - before i forget ELFEN LIED!!! that is one hardcore series!
Samurai Deeper Kyo is also worth a look.

I liked Advent Children it had some really cool fight scenes and aprarently its better if you played and liked the game ....Which i didn't, so the plot and characters were sort of strnage to me but it was still really cool.

oh and my favourite anime would have to be Cowboy Bebop or FLCL bebops got the cool jazz style and awesome music and FLCL is strange but awesome.
