I rarely read books more than twice unless they are non fiction about something I'm interested in. Except for my Bible, I read it on a regular basis, over and over.

If you like Mitch Albom or Chicken Soup-type books, you’ll love “The Doctor’s Bag – A Sentimental Journey” by John Schlarbaum– author of “Aging Gracefully Together – A Story of Love & Marriage”.

You won’t be disappointed! Enjoy!

Here’s a review from The Midwest Book Review:

The Doctor's Bag: A Sentimental Journey is the heartwarming tale of the life of Thomas Sterling and his son Robert. Readers will become enthralled with The Doctor's Bag as the intimate story between father and son unfolds, giving new meaning to the actual doctor's bag itself. As the doctor's bag acts as the metaphor between healing and pain from year to year, The Doctor's Bag leaves the reader with an enlightening message of life, love and hope. The Doctor's Bag is strongly recommended to the general reader and those searching for a gentle, touching, and life changing read.

The Phantom Tollbooth By Norton Juster, i've read it like six times since i was 12 and it always has me entranced, how i would love to meet Princesses Rhyme and Reason and take a trip to Dictionopolis where i could quite literally eat my words before rushing to the tower in the sky!

The Book with No Name by Anonymous, I keep raving about this book because it has your gripped from the very first chapter, roaring with laughter, gasping with shock, grimacing with distaste and with no clue as to where the plot is going it keeps you guessing right up until the final pages. 5 people have been murdered, the only thing linking them is the fact that they have all read the book with no name....Dare you read it???

Stephen Kings The Stand. Speaks for itself really, a journey filled with new friends and fraught with danger...the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Those are my three folks!

When I was a kid, the first book I always checked out at a new library was "The Wizard of Oz". But I also have to admit that I've read John Jakes "Kent Family Chronicles" at least 5 times, and James Michener's "Centennial" at least that many.

Let's see, what book do I love to read over and over? Do I have to pick just one? I love Pride & Prejudice, Harry Potter, Eye of the Dragon by Stephen King, and way too many others!

The Earth Children series by Jane Auel (The Clan of the Cave Bear, The Valley of the Horses, The Mammoth Hunters, The Plains of Passage, The Shelters of Stone). I read the first 4 books at 12, 18, and 24, and just read the last one for the first time a month or so ago. It's a great series, entertaining (the plot), educational (Auel spends on average 5 years researching before writing each book), and thought provoking (there's a heavy emphasis on what the world was like before modern man came and mucked it up).

Also, I just read "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maquire. I fully intend on re-reading it to get the deeper levels. It's completley entertaining, but also is a deeper study into good and evil. A great read.

I re-read the Anne Rice Vampire series
and the Myth series by Robert Asprin are always good for a good pick-me up.

The Tillerman series by Cynthia Viogt is also a favorite, especially Dicey's Song.

Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin. It's a series of 6 books set in San Francisco, chronicling a set of friendships. It spans a couple of decades, and I swear those characters are real people!
