Not long ago I re-read Stephen King's The Stand. I had read it a life time ago and loved it, but after so many years found I had lost all of the details. I loved it just as much in the re-read. Guess I'm a sucker for the ultime fight between good and evil.

Most things by Kerouac are good for a re-read too. There are certain passages that just slam me.

I have read "the Stand", it is a good book, but have never heard of Kerouac? Can you name any possible titles?

i have a few. Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, and The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy are some that spring to mind. pretty eclectic selections i know...but i like to read different things for different moods.

Actually my favorite series from anne rice is the ones that deal with the mayfair witches, but the vampire series isn't bad either...the other two, can I honestly say that I haven't read them.

He's a beat writer. His most popular was called On the Road, but I prefer Dhamra Bums. I first read him when I was in my early 20's...perfect book for where I was in life.

Dracula and 1984 I think I've re-read the most. Apart from my Georgette Heyer collection which are my old faithfuls for reading without thinking. Oh, and my yoga book which I have out every evening.

The book I've read the most times must be the instruction manual for my camera.

I love Down and Out in Paris and London - George Orwell.

I remember reading it when I was younger and just being fascinated and that has always been something that has stuck with me.

There are others, but that is the only one to spring to mind!

My favourite books of all time are:
Speak - Laurie Halse Anderson
Girl - Blake Nelson
To Kill a Mocking Bird - Harper Lee
Looking for Alibrandi - Melina Marchetta

I love being able to have a book where you can actually see the story unfolding in your mind. =]

O i love Kerouac's On the Road, it's great, it made me want to drive across America! Not read the other one though ... perhaps I should give it a read

Anyone read One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez? ... It can be a bit confusing seeing as there are many characters but they only about 5 names which get repeated over and over! but a good read, its combination of magical realism, history and fiction make it a really interesting novel ! but beware...you will have to refer to the family tree more than once throughout it !!

My BF is like that, but my memory is crap so I get away with it.

The only books you can guarantee I wont read twice are my textbooks
