It is NOT prochoice if you tell them not to get an abortion. Were is the choice? I do not like being called a fool either.

If someone has made up their mind that they are going to have an abortion no matter what, wouldn't it be best to not tell the guy that got them pregnant? What good would come from it? Isn't it less selfish to save him from the potential hurt of knowing?

Uhm ... why would you even think that>?

i think they have a right to know but play no part in the decision to have the abortion, after all it is your body.

When i had my 2 abortions, the guy i was with wanted kids and i didnt and he knew this when we first got together and he also knew if there were any "accidents" there was no way i was keeping them.

at the councelling session prior to the abortion the councellor did ask whether he supported me on the decision and he did say yes as he knew this is what i wanted.

What I don't understand is how people can keep having 'accidents' in this day and age!

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for something I'm not...

Because nothing but abstinence is fool-proof, and abstinence in a world driven by sex is foolish and impractical. Education, honest education, is the only way to end abortions. Making them illegal will just create more criminals. My little dot on the ultrasound right now was an accident. It happens.

I'll start off by saying I'm anti abortion. That said I just don't get the mentality of some women, they get pregnant and the men have absolutely no voice in the matter, but SHE decides to keep the baby then she's crying for maintenance, make up your minds. If they are a major factor after you give birth, then why are you so firm on your pedestal made of sand that you have the tenacity to say that they are NOT a factor pre-birth.JMO

I'm prochoice but I absolutely agree. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Independence is just that, independence. Not dependent when you want to have a kid, independent when you don't.

This is why I feel like there should be a way for the guy to give up all rights to the baby sometime before it is born. Women can get an abortion without talking to the guy up until a certain point in the pregnancy, so I think up until that same point the guy should have the option to legally back out and have nothing to do with the child, and I mean nothing, ever. I don't think women should get abortions, and I wouldn't think guys should take this last resort either, but it's not my place to decide for anyone else.

I thought i was an independent i thought it was the only view to make the planet a better place i was wrong.

Communism fastest way to make earth a more... (let me find the words)... fair and crime-less planet, with people having more spare time for fun. But sense were all communists then we wont know what the word fun means at some point.

i really don't see how everyone stealing killing raping burning destroying torturing terrorizing hating, and simply the big guy will eat all the food before his only child could find a bite.

Don't go independent people thats moving backwards,
we are all free and were free to make rules and were free to take away rules,

if the government don't get busy and hire some better think tanks (me <--- good political think tank)... usa is in dire need of a reality check.

I think that it all depends on the situation. Because if you are in a relationship with someone then it is something that the two people should talk about and work though together but if you barely know the person and you make the mistake of sleeping with them and you get knocked up, and you have no intention of getting to know them better then there is really no point unless you really want to. Abortion is such a touchy subject. I have no idea what I would do if I were in it.

I think this depends on the person and on the relationship.
Can you really hold something like that to yourself?
