I am prolife but also prochoice. I do not like abortion, but think it is up to the individual, because you can not know what the person is going through.

Having said that, I agree that if this is an on going important relationship, you should tell him. If you care enough to share your body with him, care enough to share the truth with him. Let us know what you decide and how it goes.

I have stayed out of this thread for a bit, as i have experience in this matter...

Question is when do you tell the father? When you are long past having a abortion or when your in the clinic via text.. "sorry hunni, im aborting your child".. it pisses me off that this whole thing about resposabilty of children, men being made to look after there kids, 50/50 and all that, and there is a debate of whether she should tell the father... God damn it yes, she should be there right now talking to him. It doenst matter about who he is or why she is having a abortion, he needs to know. And what ever the outcome the father needs to be invovled from day one.
You can go and have the abortion and then there will be a day when someone slips up and says to him you aborted his child. Us men are strange when it comes to this, as you women have 99% of the control, and we just learn about what is going on, like our opinion/feelings/state of mind/future wont be effected by a child aborted or other wise. We seem to think because the government has dictated to women with Roe vrs wade case in america back in the late 60s/70s, women have control over there body and wont be dictated to., then apprently thats fine.. and it is.. if you want t abort tell him. if you want the kid.. tell HIM! and you are honest from day one. then you will never have a problem with bringing your child up or moving on from a abortion.

The choice is yours to abort.. but the father has a moral right to know. After all what type of people are we without morals??

it sounds like she had already decided what she was going to do tho... and if the father is like a one nighter or something and shes going to do it whether he gets to have his say or not... if you were that guy, would you want to know if ur vote wasnt going to count?

if she wants a continuing relationship or friendship with him, then she should for sure...

Again, he should know.. and i think it should be law.. other wise any decision after that the man has no legal responsability.

We forget that the lessons that can be learned from this are priceless.

Your saying a type of form that states consent or otherwise? and if signed its legally binding?

It will cause a few problems, but ultimately i think it will sort a underlining issue out in this world today.

I think he means a form that releases men from all legal responsabilty after sex. If the form aint signed then he has to foot the bill. You will be suprised the amount of people that would agree to this! It also protects people from rape charges, and it will make alot of fickle (boy and girl) think twice before having sex. I think its a idea. And needs alot fo work, but its plausable in my mind.
