I think that it depends on the individual situation. There are millions of contributing factors as to why a woman would or would not want to tell the father.

Maybe she doesn't know WHO the father is. Maybe he is an abusive jerk, maybe he's a pedophile and she didn't find out until too late that he was trying to breed his own set of victims...who knows...it can't all be straight across the board.

In a perfect situation, where the guy is kind and loving...Absolutely, he has the right to know...but on the other side of the coin, it's a different set of deciding factors.

No-one here can answer this question. No-one knows the father in question, no-one knows what circumstances the mother is in, no-one knows the relationship between the two.

I think the worst thing about getting pregnant before one was ready would be the enforced life-long bond to the father, if he was not the man one wanted to marry.

if your in a stable relationship,yes you should tell him and decide hat you both want,but i think if he wants it and you go ahead with the abortion you may run the risk of him leaving,its up to you if you have an abortion and its up to him to stay or leave if its not what he wants,after all the baby is his as well.

Of I got pregnant and he wanted it, I'd keep it. It has to both your decision provided you plan on staying with this guy. I don't know if I could get rid of something that was half him without telling him...it's his choice too I think

Urm, just to say...I'm not exaclty prochoice or prolife...but I believe you can;t judhe someone for it. You can't say abortions is fine and dandy and it's not wrong at all...because on some extent it is wrong, even if the fault in it is that we DO have that power to decide however you can't say that it's immoral and it's murder because you cannot judge anyone for doing it. It's more complicated than that. People don;t just say 'oh damn it best have an abortion' being in a situation where that is the best option for you will be a scary one and unless you've known the situation you cannot condem people who have.
