No one in America slaughters horses for food or glue. The Dept of the interior did try to sell wild horses to Europe a few years ago because of over population. The Frecnh really really like horse meat. Anyway, animal rights groups stopped it and now those poor horses just die of starvation and disease if they don't get adopted.
Nice, real nice.

you are right , here in the Southwest states the horses are hauled from all over Calf. Az. N.M. Colo. down to a little town about 3 or so miles North of the Mexico border called Vado, New Mexico and from there go to the kill plants in Mexico.

Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

I rode a horse once at girl guides camp when I was 9. It was my first time riding a horse and it threw me off for no reason!
We were walking along slowly and calmly when all of a sudden she got spooked by something I obviously didn't notice. Nevertheless, I still like horses and want to go riding again someday.

Yeah, I am a vegan although if horses are ridden properly I don't see how it could harm them. I know many vegans are against horse riding but done properly, I don't see anything wrong with it. Horses can carry a lot of weight and my tiny frame isn't going to hurt one.
