They are also eaten. I absolutely love horses, I have 2 of my own and when I have my own property I will have many, many more. It is sad that they are slaughtered the way that they are, they should be given humane treatment.. but sadly that's how it is with livestock.

Rode one at a Dude ranch and it took me into the woods and tried to rub me off
against the trees, and when I tried to move it out of the forest it turned its head
around and bit me. I got off and walked it home. Maybe I wasn't forceful
enough?

I love horses and also horses are in gelatin and marshmallows just so you know

It's funny how much more paints are on the east coast than the west! If you were to choose a different breed, you could easily get a well trained, young horse for 1,500. You can even get one for free if you get to know some of your local horse people. Good Luck!

Great Topic!!! I have two horses which are Paints. I just trained my first horse and I was there when she was born....I think horses are great therapy for depressed peaple if you have a well behaved one. It is sad about the killing of horses because there is so many that need homes....I have 2 acres at my house so I can wake up to them calling me for there breakfast....

Treat every day as if it will be the last day on earth...Dont go to bed mad!!!!
