i'm reading The Da Vinci Code because it just came out on paperback and I want to see what everyone is fussing over. I keep hearing that it's a great book. So far it's ok.

I started reading the Circle of Three series to my daughter who turns 9 in two weeks. It is a book written for early teenage years.

It follows three girls 15/16 years old who begin their year and a day study in Wicca. The series is a 15 book series.

Well, she took over and has been reading them herself. Read 3 or 4 books in as many days.

Me; I've been reading the computer monitor and reading the stories I write. Not reading any books as of late myself.

House, by Frank Perretti/Ted Dekker. It's really spooky, and it's going to be a movie, they're saying. I can't imagine it as a film...

I'm reading A tale Of two Cities right now.

Decided to read the complete works of Plato instead. God, I was clever as a child! Wonder what happened?

I have just reading a young adults novel written by first time author, Michael Gerard Bauer. His book published by Scholastic is called, "The Running Man".

I quote from the back of the book;

"Tom Leyton, a reclusive Vietnam veteran, has been the subject of rumour and gossip for thirty years. When Joseph Davidson, his young neighbour and a talented artist, is asked to draw a protrait of him, an uneasy relationship begins to unfold, one that will force each of them to confront his darkest secrets.

This is a story about how we perceive others, the judgements we make about them, how we cope with tragedy, and the nature of miracles."

I am only up to the 4th chapter and am enjoying this book. I don't really go for adult books as I tend to find books for teens better written with stronger material within the written word. Excluding authors such as John Le Carre.

The Drawing of the Three (Dark Tower II) by Stephen King

(I'm only on the second book, and already I see this series as being truly his
masterpiece )

I'm currently doing some research on England in the late middle ages, just before the English Reformation takes affect and have found a fascinating book called The Stripping of the Altars by Eamon Duffy which describes the religious culture of England before being revamped by Henry the VIII, Edward and Elizabeth. Its a really good read. Its amazing how England became so different culturally in a comparatively short period of time. Its like reading a historical detective novel except this one isn't fiction!

I am reading 'Legally Blonde'. I've recently read 'Chocolat' and then 'daughter of Fortune' by Isabelle Allende, so I felt like something trashier.

I just finished From a Buick 8 by Stephen King and The Half Brother by Lars Saabye Christensen. Right now it's Hunger by Knut Hamsun (for school), The Firm by John Grisham , Queen of Demons by David Drake, Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind and, when I'm in the mood, Fanny Hill by John Cleland. Apart from that, my nightstand is full of crappy books I've saved from various school library purges. They're kinda like orphans, you don't want anything to do with 'em, but you take care of them anyway.

You're right, I don't get out much.
