Sentanced for three years for not paying his taxes.

His plee is "I am an idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance.

"I am well-intentioned, but miseducated". Meaning he is blaming his lack of education on his mistake.

Is this a good enough excuse and do you beleive him to have made a genuine mistake?

I don't see how someone can not know enough to not pay their taxes. wasn't he willing to pay his back taxes off? I think if he was willing to pay what he owes, he shouldn't go to prison.

If I didn't pay my taxes I am sure they would put me in jail FAST. It doesn't matter who you are if you do the crime you need to do the time. I am sure he has accountants that handle his money, he just thought he was above it.
