i preferred the clash but who can tell me,who was the only drummer to play in the sex pistols,shame 69,bow wow wow,adam and the ants

Joe Strummer Could barely play.
Mick jones was not band ,but the guitarist out of Pistols wasnt tht bad ether.
paul simion could play he learned the ba** in liek 3 weeks.
topper headon was the only one who could really play.

sex pistols are way better. their is more anger in their music. .....
and the person who sed sex pistols were manufactured to make as much cash as poosiible was completly wrong. have you listened to EMI.

Their image was completely manufactured to help Maclaren's(their manager) and Vivienne Westwood's bondage shop called "Sex" rake in the money. Maclaren is one of the most notorious people for ruining a band that could have done great things if it weren't for him trying to make a quick buck off of them.(see also The New York Dolls)

sure they were
they allowed themselves to be mclarens pet project, and therefore allowed him to manufacture them into what they were.
and they weared and promoted vivienne's clothes (vivienne was mcclarens partner)

and do you know who chose the bands name?
mclaren.

evej though jones, cook and matlock were mcclarens mates, johnny rotten never really liked him. they was always antagonising each other and johnny was just 'johnny' before and after mcclaren got his teeth in them. if it werent for his lyrics and energy, the pistols would have ended up being another pub rock band, like a poor mans bay city rollers. watch classic albums dvd of nevermind the bollocks (its basically the pistols story up to its release) and mcclaren admits he had sod all to do with it. if it werent for mcclaren the pistols probably wouldnt have had the practice space and some financial backing but would have still definately been a significant rock band.

the above is all meant in the best PAHSSIBLE taste

the clash were not really punk anyways they were more of a ska band, if you listen to more than Londons Calling, most of thier album material was ska with reggae.

ive always said the clash werent punk, although i do like their brand of ska and reggae. sandinista is a truely s**t album bar a few songs

the above is all meant in the best PAHSSIBLE taste
