Anyone have any cool places to go, besides the typical tourist places?

yeah, go to philly instead. it's cheaper and the people are more interesting and you can smoke in the bars and some restaurants. and then once you're drunk and done smoking all your cigarettes you can get another pack for $5 instead of $10. And we have cheesesteaks. So no, i don't know where to go in new york, i've only been there a few times to visit my sister when she was going to school there, and the only places i remember going were greenwich village, which is pretty neat and worth checking out for sure, and the million marijuana march in battery park, but i don't know when that is, or where for that matter. So yeah, good luck finding some other cool places, or if new york gets boring and you come to philly since it's like i dunno, two hours away by train, then let me know and i'll tell you some cool places to hit up. good luck!

My best friend lives in Philly, and i've been out there to see him once, it was fun there. Unfourtantly, I am only 18 and cannot get into bars, and I don't like smoking. But thanks, I'll let you know if I go to Philly.

ah i see, well in that case yeah new york's probably better if you haven't been there yet. As far as the bars go, it never hurts to try i say. And as for the smoking, well never mind then... hehe, i guess I just sort of assume everyone likes to smoke, which is totally wrong but for some reason i forget that a lot. Have fun on your trip, should be fun (and really cold!) around that time.
