Valleyfair in Minnesota...
In a drum.., Minnesota
For those who don't live in or around Minnesota, Valleyfair is an amusement park. I've gone there many times over the years and had lots of fun on the roller coasters, water rides, etc.
But the new prices this season are really making me take a step back and think about if I really want to go. The website shows the new price of $41.99 for adults and/or children ages 3-61 who are at least 48" and taller.
Now I'm single, but imagine if you had a spouse and a couple young kids who are tall for their age. You would be spending about $100 on tickets alone, not including meals, parking fee ($12 for a regular car), extra activities inside the park (that require a fee), or souvenirs.
Yeah... I know they have discounts, but is it really worth all that money? For example, I checked out an a convention coming to town that lasts 3 days and admission that covers the whole 3 days is just $35 total. It seems like I could do a lot more with that cash then go to an amusement park.
What do you think?
Pope's Wine Celler, Holy See (
We used to go there after 5PM when it was $11 I haven't been in ages. Though $41.99 is considerably cheaper than Disney World @ about $85
Seems Kinda High for families to me.
