| x_Laura_x Particularly cunty ![]() East Grinstead, United Kingdom | #2 I had to Google that. Over here I think they're known as "boat shoes" - I'm not too fashion savvy haha. They are mostly worn (with no socks) by people in turned up jeans or by chino w**kers. And they've been in fashion for a fair while. I think they're quite gross | ||||||

| hoppy Banned ![]() , | #3 From the looks of them they should be cheap and comfortable. | ||||||

| MAW Deleted ![]() Stockport, United Kingdom | #4 @annski729 Said ![]() Can someone explain to me why so many people like these shoes? ![]() Is it the look? Are they comfortable? Is it just a typical summer fad? The are huge in Britain too, the land of rain, I think they would disintegrate if you stepped in a puddle. They look like something extras in martial arts movies wear. | ||||||

annski729![]() Washington, District of Columb | #5 A quick look on their website tells me they sell for $44 a pair. Also, in my experience, cheap shoes and not comfortable. I could see these being comfortable in that they are not restrictive, but they also look very flat.

| LuckyCharms Magically Delicious ![]() , | #6 They look comfy and light on the feet. I hate heavy shoes. I'd wear them. I wouldn't pay $44 for them, maybe $10. I can beat the crap out of a good pair of shoes just as easily as a pair of cheap ones. | ||||||

| MAW Deleted ![]() Stockport, United Kingdom | #7 Very popular with the gay crowd, at least in the UK. So single guys that wear there and are straight may not get a date. | ||||||

I think they're quite gross I don't find them repulsive, but I also don't see the appeal. If someone gave them to me I'd wear them, and I may even pay $10 or $15 for them, but I don't get why they're so popular.

I think they're quite gross Yeah I work with somebody who wears them with no socks and short jeans- a terrible look, especially for a straight man! They are quite repulsive to me

Is it just a typical summer fad? I believe they are called "Deck shoes" because they are made of canvas, can get wet and dry out fast. No socks please! J.R.

sister_of_mercy![]() London, United Kingdom | #14 They remind me a bit of espadrills. Not something I would wear but it's hardly the worst thing I've ever seen either.
