And I understand why they pass that law in Ohio cuz 1 2 and 3 hand somking is bad for those that don't smoke. And is not good for babys and little kids my mom and dad both smoke and so yes I pick up thire bad habbits lol.

Fourth hand smoke, ready for it
unborn, no un conceived babies that have parents that have walked by someone with a sweater on that was once the son of a smoker's sweater.
i know its a big medical break through.

I didn't think anything of it, until I read that article, it wasn't obvious to me at all. Then again, I'm kind of slow, so, meh.

Smoke didn't really bother me when I was younger; but now I really get sick. My inlaws were a couple of chimneys. It was a huge fight, but I wouldn't take the children there. My son would hack and his eyes would get all red. My husband smoked; until his triple bypass cured that. We made a deal before we were married; no smoking in the house, coat left on porch. He'd quit for long periods of time, but it didn't last. Now that he doesn't smoke, he can't stand to be around people who do. He says," I understand now." I don't think smokers really know how bad it can make some people feel and it's not like you can avoid it. I'd be more forgiving if it didn't get blown in my face or cigarette butts weren't on the ground. Worst one I saw recently; father giving his baby a bottle with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. That's pitiful.

WOW. That's scary and heart breaking.

I'm not trying to glorify myself, but I have a bit of a smoking problem, and I can't even bring myself to smoke around the cats of the house, I can't imagine smoking anywhere near where my own offspring would be. I ALWAYS go outside to smoke, ALWAYS.

Yes Smoking deserves attention here and i appluad the person who initiated it.It has caused if not killed adverse affects on health and diminished life styles and is so addictive that even if a person has been told he is dying from it will keep on smoking until the end. how pitiful

What really winds me up about this is people moaning about others smoking in public (I fully support an indoor smoking ban even though I do smoke myself) but I've encountered some people turning their noses up at me when I'm smoking within 5 feet of them outside! , then climbing into their 6litre 4x4 diesel car which to be honest shoves more crap out of the exhaust travelling 5 yards than someone smoking one cigarette

The late great Bill Hicks said it best I think
"I have something to tell you non-smokers that I know for a fact that you don't know, and I feel it's my duty to pass on information at all times. Ready?. . . . Non-smokers die every day . . . Enjoy your evening. See, I know that you entertain this eternal life fantasy because you've chosen not to smoke, but let me be the 1st to POP that bubble and bring you hurling back to reality . . . You're gonna die too"

Not really surprising, doubt it will make many people quit though.
