Not just western US. Sightings of UFOs have been reported everywhere on Earth for thousands of years.

Here's a site that lists some of the more recently claimed sightings:

---

The ancient Sumerians documented their claims of aliens and UFOs over 5000 years ago. Here's a link to a video of Zecharia Sitchin, who's book "The 12th Planet" gives amazing insight on the existence of life outside of earth.

I suspect it's easier to spot UFOs in good weather conditions and the best can be found in the desert. "The stars are big and bright" in the southwest, less atmospherical obstacles provide for better visibility.

And a city like Manhattan is huge, risking full exposure to millions of people would be an undeniable factor. But there have been reported sightings of UFOs from New York city, some claim to have seen them around the World Trade Center.

Who knows?

People often ask, "What is the world coming to?" - I simply ask, "What is the world?"

what better place than a desert?

I don't think deserts are the best place to meet people, i have never been to one so who knows.

here has been reports of ufo's for more than 100 years, how many different leaders do they need to speak to?

theres no doubt that there is something going on up there. i've seen an alien craft for myself as well.

You said that you saw something you couldn't identify. You flatly denied that you knew it was alien.

What has since convinced you that it was alien?

the technology of the craft. it had the ability to maintain invisibility as i saw it appear out of nowhere. it also was not like anything i had ever seen. of course i do not know really what was operating the vehicle, but im not afraid to use my judgment on this one.

yes, usually night time implies darkness

the darkness was the reason i could see the object so clearly. it was illuminated by what i would imagine to be its exhaust which was fiery red. the craft was gone within a second and its exhaust stayed for a second more until there was no evidence that anything had happened.

So rather than go invisible it could have just turned the lights out

Go learn about "afterburner" and come back once you do.

Seeing "fiery red exhaust" for a few seconds which then disappears is not proof that the craft was alien.

i've never seen anything like it. of course i've no proof to say it was an alien, but i have no proof to say it was a human. human technology (from what i have seen) pales into comparison of that. it was visible for three seconds start to finish, including the effect of the afterburner.

So you have no proof either way.

So let's do the sane thing and assume it was ALIEN and tell everyone that you definitely saw an ALIEN SPACECRAFT!

Wait, wait. That's not the sane thing.

lol. go back to the first time i posted about it in another thread. read the post. i specifically said that i didn't know what it was. i could only describe it. ok, but as a person with an opinion i believe it to be an alien. it didn't resemble human characteristics whatsoever. many people have seen these before. do you like being difficult?

You said it was a UFO in the other thread. I asked you and you told me that you didn't know what its origin was.

Then a couple days later you post in this thread that you've seen an alien craft.

I think the explanation for the progression is quite obvious, and it has nothing to do with what you really saw.
