We are given no choice in when or why we are born,
seldom does anyone choose the time of their death.
Thrown on this Earth, who knows where they’ll land,
it’s not our choice; we must take what’s given,
face what we must endure, live this thing, life.

How do we decide what to do with the lot received?
Children have no choices, they must understand,
a world so vast, it would trouble the strongest mind.
The fortunate grow with warmth and light abounding,
no one is guaranteed this when they are born.

Sadly, too many are born into tragedy and sorrow,
believing that this is the way the world must be.
Some may accept this, content with their existence,
more often they wish to attain higher ground.
Will tenacity give them this change they desire?

Living and dying are the only promises made,
what will a person do with the time in between?
Some say fate, karma, blessings or luck are the cause,
for anything that gets in their way to success.
When do all men study the entire picture, throw
assumptions away; this is life, it’s a difficult dish?

Very interesting.

I'd say life is kinda like mysteriously appearing at the start of a race track filled with hurtles, bear traps and a ball and chain tied around your ankle.

And you're just kinda like 'Before I even start to bother can someone explain why I should?'
