Yeah, it's taking it too far. For one thing, we're too far away from any inhabitable planets for aliens to have travelled here by conventional means so, if they were coming they'd have to be extremely advanced. But if they're that advanced, why bother with us?

No. There isn't really anything they can do. However, I did read an article in New Scientist which explained that teen crime rates rise and fall periodically but most teen "criminals" have merely bowed to peer pressure and grow out of it, so there isn't much to worry about. We won't end up a nation of criminals.

Nah, I've never given in to it either. I've always been taught to stand up for my beliefs and what I know to be right. A lot of people cave though.

I think what actually influences younger people is things that happen in real life. Not music, not movies, not video games etc. Don't get me wrong, there are some impressionable young minds out there somewhere I'm sure, but I think what would really effect a child who doesn't know better is what happens in real life.

Sure, there was probably more violence way back when and worse things were legal. I never said times used to be better, there was nowhere that I stated that. What I'm saying is that still to this day there seems to be people who don't f**king think. OJ Simpson is a perfect f**king example of what I'm talking about. Any dumb a** can see him get away with his s**t and think, "Oh, if he can get away with robbing and shooting up a place where it was clearly on camera, let me go murder this guy from school, there wont be no consequences if OJ did it."

I'm not speaking for anyone or any group of people, but I think maybe if the law was more serious and didn't let people get off of serious crimes easily, people would see what happens and maybe consider that randomly committing violence on someone isn't such a smart idea.

How would you like to be told you'll be executed at the age of 16?
Sure, what they did was wrong but too wrongs never make a right, just more wrongs. Killing is the easy way to sort things out. Locking them in with a prison full of outraged criminals, where they will have to think about what they did? That's really a punishment. Especially the outraged criminals part.

It would suck to have been told that when I was 16....because I didn't stomp someone to death!

Two wrongs don't make a right, eye for an eye and we'll all be blind....it's not about wrong or right, it's about justice.

So killing a kid for following what a group did and making a horrible mistake, for which he will pay, is justice? I'd say your sense of it is pretty skewed. Or is killing them going to bring her back?

As lots of people who've tried to commit suicide to get out of a life sentence would probably tell you, death is the easy way out.
