19/F/Port Hueneme, California Join Date: Oct 2007 | I think what actually influences younger people is things that happen in real life. Not music, not movies, not video games etc. Don't get me wrong, there are some impressionable young minds out there somewhere I'm sure, but I think what would really effect a child who doesn't know better is what happens in real life.
Sure, there was probably more violence way back when and worse things were legal. I never said times used to be better, there was nowhere that I stated that. What I'm saying is that still to this day there seems to be people who don't f**king think. OJ Simpson is a perfect f**king example of what I'm talking about. Any dumb a** can see him get away with his s**t and think, "Oh, if he can get away with robbing and shooting up a place where it was clearly on camera, let me go murder this guy from school, there wont be no consequences if OJ did it."
I'm not speaking for anyone or any group of people, but I think maybe if the law was more serious and didn't let people get off of serious crimes easily, people would see what happens and maybe consider that randomly committing violence on someone isn't such a smart idea.
