an 10 12 13 14 is a child these guys are like 17 -19
theres no excuse and its ppl like you who agree with these short sentences that allow
these ppl to run free
imagine when on a bus you could be sitting next to a rapist, thief, murder, or simple a
victim
if i killed someone (of which i would never do)
i would want to give my life in return
being a child is no excuse
children have there own minds they make there own decision
you cant blame a gang or even just some friends they did what they did cos there evil, sick
and twisted ppl
you dont just happen to kick and punch someone to death
Yes, you are a child. So am I and up until 18 (And given mental circumstances, even
beyond) many people are still growing. People are different as they develop.
18 years is not a short sentence. Especially not when the prosecuted is 16 himself. It is a
horrifically long amount of time.
These kids were clearly not mentally stable. Anyone who feels the need to bash a woman
to death has clear issues. Jail is not punishment, remember. Because punishment wouldn't
solve anything. Does it bring Sophie back? No. Does it make anyone feel any better? No.
Jail is there to hold dangerous person/s until they are fit to return to society and to interact
in a positive manner.
In 16 years, when these kids spend the prime of their life been bashed every day in prison,
I think you'll see a different person coming out. They're not the top dog anymore and will
not be bashing girls to death in crowded parks.
This is a fair and just sentence. It will serve the purpose nicely.

But please give me some examples to re-affir your point. I'm just not convinced that you can speak for every teenager who ever does wrong. And that I can't.
But we are all only human, and tend not to think certain acts through, and lets face it, this world has gone to s**t. I'm not speaking for the teens that killed, but I look at this way. A majority of teens who have killed people and done some school shootings don't really stop to think of who else they are hurting in the matter or stop to think how many people care about that victim or the victim's loved ones etc. I mean when I watch the news and get the reports from the words of the criminals, their only focus was just on that one person, whether they wanted revenge or had prejudice, their mind was only focused on that person, and not the effect it could have. As a matter of fact, the heartless-ness aside! What about the thoughtless and lack of thinking? There were witnesses everywhere, didn't they stop and think that they could get locked away or that the law would screw them right back in return? Apparently they just go right ahead with it, and cry and beg later. When they're scared or emotionally stricken later it's almost as if they didn't come to expect a consequence.
What my point was that most younger people of today don't think before acting. Shit, I'm not saying I'm perfect or flawless. I've done some screwed up things, and without thinking, but things like this are very f**king serious, and it seems to me that society might just be what it is failing kids these days to where they must not think there's any consequences.
A perfect example is OJ simpson robbing a place with guns and everything, yet he still gets free. What young group of children isn't able to see that? It's national f**king television! Now if that man has had evidence of being guilty in a trial before hand years ago and got off as innocent (but you all know he is f**king guilty) it kind of would manipulate a young and unexperienced mind that you can get away with almost anything, and make it seem like things like that have no consequences.
Example enough for you?

The morals and values our generation hold are alot better than they've ever been. the idea that people are being told you can get away with anything is entirely untrue.
The news centres around cops finding the bad guys.
It's been like that for decades.
You say that "Kids of today don't think before they act". This is an entirely untrue, generalised and unbased statement! If you need to make a convincing argument, narrow things down. You cannot talk on such a level for so many people.
The fact that people can get off whether they're guilty or not would have little to no effect to two British teenagers who have problems with diversity.
