Tattoo

I'm really thinking about getting a tattoo. But my boyfriend really doesn't wants me to, and say that it will ruin my skin. My family isn't very fond of the idea either...

Any help?

Quick update:
I asked my friend, and she just said that it was self-harm and that I should never do it... :/

Normally, I am pretty pro-tattoo. *
However, if you really are 15. I say wait until you are 18.

*on other people, because I am scare of needles and can't handle pain like that.

yeah, that leaves time to think it all through.

well, the fun part about being an adult is when people tell you what to do with your own body and skin: the answer is pretty much: "None, of you business. I get to make the final decision. "

Then you have to live with it, as it's your body and skin.

I got my first "hood" tats when i was 12 and my first "real" tat at 16. I just got back from a tattoo session actually. Depending on how you look at it i either got 5 really big tats or like 70 really small tats and 2 big ones. I regret the tats i got when i was 12 theyre covered now but every other tat i love. Since its illegal to get a tattoo before 16 even with parental permissiom im wondering how you're going to get one? My advice? Get a tattoo, get as many as you want. Its your body who cares what other people think? But dont get one from anyone other then a professional tattooist. You'll regret it if you do. The difference between an amateur amd a professional is phenomenal.

I would say: it's you're body, if ya want it, go for it - but wait until yer 18!

And of course, be prepared for those who will speak out against it --- calling the idea dumb and you dumb too for getting it. That's just their opinion, and that definitely would not make you dumb, 'especially' once you are 18.

Everyone will have their personal opinion. If you aren't 18 yet, I say think about it more. Once you are 18 and older, no one can stop you from getting a tattoo. No one stopped me and I waited till age 23.

Go window shopping .
You will change your mind about so many things in a coming few years on stuff like personal style , boys, collage , favorite foods ,etc..
A tat will become as much a part of you as your fingers, arms, nose ,,, Never 'get a tat or don't get' a tat based on someone else's decision.
A quick Google search will tell you all you need to know about how it will affect your skin . After finding out about tat's and skin , you may want to rethink your present theory about boys that pass out advise on topics they know little or nothing about based more on on their personal likes or dislikes instead of knowledge or facts . just saying .

Go window shopping , if you are artistic or know someone who is get some ideas on paper . Keep in mind your hobby's today may not be something you will be interested in a few decades from now. Also, you ay at some point find yourself explaining your body art to a child. A niece or nephew ,son or ,,,,
Go window shopping, if started today and live to be 99 years old and window shopped tat everyday you would only see 1/3 of all the choices out there for body art.
When you do find exactly what you want and where you want it , you then have to find someone who will never say ' Opp's sorry about ,,,' A mess will last just as long as a perfect tat .
A perfect tat will be there forever .

If you can't decide then don't get it. Wait till you can decide and that decision is a yes.

Don't get one or not get one because someone else does or doesn't want you to. If you're having serious doubts about it, then you have your answer...don't get one.
