My girlfriend really wants to own her own bakery and she is taking business classes right now. Is there anyone out there that has or does own there own bakery that can give her some advice? it would be much appriciated

in all seriousness, is that something that her tutors consider a good idea? there is very little scope for success in these sort of ventures, due to the fact that it is a saturated market. Small businesses in markets such as this one have to compete with most supermarkets that have thier own bakeries and with the big chain store bakeries. Is she going to offer anything exclusive? what is her USP? (Unique Selling Point)

well if she is doing wedding cakes then that is her USP, the big supermarkets don't do things like that and neither (to my knowledge) do the chains

I am assuming she has done her market research? business is not something that should be entered into unprepared. There has to be a gap in the market for what she wants to offer. Or very little of what she offers in the town she decides to set up in.

the best advice for anyone wanting to set up in business is you have to offer something different.
