yeah they've a large enough cast - that I'm expecting one or two not to make it to the end of season 1.

No news on a season 2 yet - but the ratings seem to be ok so fingers crossed

I think.... that this series may end up in a cinema movie.. looking at the set up.. its a new platform.. its new feel.. and it has a A-list actor in the lead Robert carlyle.. what you reckon?

My guess is if they do a big screen movie it'll be with the SG1 team as that has more of a built in audience.

not really sure how they've managed to snag Robert Carlyle - although this show does ahve a much bigger budget then either SG! or SGA

If they do any more big screen movies then they should make the part 2 and 3 to the original movie like they planned. Bring back spader and russel.

No chance!! What they had planned for the original trilogy is so different towhat happedn on TV they'll never be able to align them.

And i guess they won;t want to alientate the fan base they already have

I wish they would at least publish the books for them. I'm curious as to what they had planned.

try these - published years before SG1 got of the gorund.

Never read them but they might be closer to what they originally had in mind

I'm still all excited And so far I love the no mention of ZPMs or stuff along those lines. I think they are just about settled into a routine now, after the episode of flying towards the star.

As for the Robert Carlyle, Stargate was looking for a lead actor name, something Atlantis didn't have, like Richard Dean Anderson...

I think Carlyle is a lot bigger over there than here... b/c I didn't know his name at all... I was like is that the father from Angela's Ashes. He looks familiar but definitely not a well-known actor in North America.

ok, i have watched 3 episodes now and the show is ok, but they seem to have to many long drawn out parts, i find them to be unnecessary for telling the story. on the last show, Time, there was this it felt like 10 min where that guy was crying over the girl that was about to die. all i can say it THANK YOU DVR!!!! FAST FORWARD!!!!!!!!!
