So far, love the premise, and hoping for a nice long series 
I have read that they are trying to keep away from aliens like the g'ould and the weird ones from atlantis... its more CGI aliens.

This is the first time we're synced with the Americans. Well when SG1 started like 15 yrs ago, it was on the same time, but Atlantis was a week behind the whole time 
Then i started to torrent it or stream it... to keep up

Wrath  from the Pegasus galaxy...
That would be really cool if they did, but with the premise of the show, they can take it in any direction, which is cool to have such open range.
Atlantis has several episodes where they mirrored SG1 anyways

I too am a star gate geek.. infact i know that the script for Atlantis was actually rewritten SG1 material.
There maybe more TV movies coming up...
