I get the feeling he meant ska bands not emo rock and post grunge like most of what you listed

Actually not sure I know what ska is... at least... I don't think I would be able to classify a group as a ska band if I heard it... I'm not well informed on the subject... care to inform me?

theres a bunch of good ska ones. operation ivy, mighty mighty bosstones, and big d and the kids table are good third wave ones. rancid is a good one too. you might want to try sublime, theyre kind of ska influenced. more reggae though. also, the specials are my favorite second wave ska band

Well along with Streetlight manifesto would go Cath 22 who is pretty good. I would suggest Big D & the kids table like the others, The Toasters, Mustard Plug, Five Iron Frenzy can be humorous, fishbone, they might be giants?
