has been swelling up.
I thought it was me just being really tired and having heavy eyes but then I noticed my left upper eyelid was swollen and very tender.
there's no bumps it's just the whole eyelid swollen soft and tender...

last I checked I had no allergies...
nobody has hocked any spit into my eye...
I inspected the area and it doesn't seem like a bug bit me..

I did just take the flu vaccine last week. I've been up since 0120(1:20 am) and it's now 2124(9:24p.m.)

Anyone here ever had something like this?

what could it be? and how can I get rid of it?

If it's not a sty, it may be a food allergy; I woke one morning when I was a kid, after eathing wild blackberries, and part of a lemon, with my eye looking like that..

Even food you aren't allergic to, you can become suddenly allergic to, so it is possible.. but it does look like a sty to me, in which case, some VERY hot wet compresses held against the eye periodically should bring the swelling down.

Stye Overview

A stye is an acute infection or inflammation of the secretory glands of the eyelids.

This common infection or inflammation results from blocked glands within the eyelid. When the gland is blocked, the oil produced by the gland occasionally backs up and extrudes through the wall of the gland, forming a lump, which can be red, painful, and nodular. Frequently, bacteria can infect the blocked gland, causing increased inflammation, pain, and redness of the eye, and even redness of the surrounding eyelid and cheek tissue.

The lump can point externally (outward) or internally (inward). Frequently, the lump appears with a visible whitish or yellowish spot that looks much like a large pimple. Usually, one obvious area of swelling is apparent on one lid, but many styes can appear on one or both eyelids simultaneously.

The lump frequently goes away when the blockage of the gland opening is relieved. Furthermore, the infection goes away when the pus is drained from the stye.

a sty is more like a pimple in the eyelid area, and its pretty obvious its like a pimple, but it feels like it won't come to a "head" so it hurts.

looks more like an allergic reaction... are you on new drugs?

well, it wouldn't hurt to put the compresses on it anyway.
Will help with the swelling.

I just made some tea and I'm currently using the teabag on my eyelid.
I'm still trying to figure out what could have caused it though..
I mean if it was an allergic reaction wouldn't both my eyelids be the same?

hmmmm that is weird, try the compress if you think its an allergic reaction benadryl should help and if benadryl doesnt, then you can at least figure it might be something else. and it could be seasonal allergies that set it off too, not just food.
