As I said before I do not believe in same sex marriages, as this is my OWN religious beliefs. Are you saying I should love this child any less because I do not agree with her choice of sexuality? I do not try to change her ways as it is not my place, she knows what she wants. But I still have the right to have my feelings and beliefs.

So you object to her sexuality on the basis of your religious beliefs? If your religious beliefs state that homosexuality is a bad thing, and yet you said yourself that homosexuality doesn't make her a bad person, there must be a conflict between your religious beliefs and your observation that homosexuality is not immoral. Do you not question your religion, if this conflict is so apparent?

No I don't question my religion. Maybe what I should have said is that just because she is a lesbien, doesn't mean I don't love her.

I think you are blowing this way out of proportion. You don't have to hate someone just because you don't agree with something they do. That’s like saying I don't believe its ok to drink alcohol, doesn't mean I hate everyone that drinks it. Come on..

I don't think he is.

If your religious beliefs dictate that homosexuality is a very bad thing, how do you reconcile your religious beliefs with the opinion that a particular homosexual is OK and you love him or her?

I do love her but not her choice of sexuality. The bible says love each other, not love only those who do not sin. Besides why do you feel the need to ridicule my beliefs, I am not trying to sway anyone towards my religion, I simply replied to the post. If I'm wrong in the end only I will have to account for my thinking, just as my niece will.

What? I'm not saying that if someone's religion tells them that homosexuality is a sin, they should pull their socks up and start hating homosexuals. I'm saying that if it seems, according to their own intuitions, that this person is not a worse person for being homosexual, then why do they follow a belief system which insists that this is the case?

What is it, exactly, that makes homosexuality sinful?

If you want me to go further, I actually think it's disguisting to see two girls or two guys intimately together, it just grosses me out, so I turn my head and move on. I do not disrespect them. But that doesn't mean I hate my husband when he says he'd love to see two woman together, I just laugh.

Personally, I think it's really gross to watch someone eat a polish sausage covered in sour kraut *gag* So I'm going to start a movement to ban anyone from eating Polish sausages covered in sour kraut!
