Adam and Lillith? I've never even heard of it.

Lilith
supposedly she was the first woman who was created just like Adam and when she refused to submit or something she was cast out and then Adam was made another woman. from his self. a lesser to him if you will. Kinda sexist but then again this is what was the norm back then MACHO MACHO MACHO and women have no rights.

well i didn't read all these posts because i think we need to judge what marriage means before homo-sexuality,

homo-sexuality been around longer than marriage. heck ill go do a wedding for a couple gay guys and just grab a piece of construction paper and write "legally married" "name + name"
with a crayon to specify.

OO ok, well I say it shouldn't be legalized. Mostly because Its not natural.

WTF! am not gay but if you fall in love with someone of the same gender then thats just as valid as falling in love with someone of the opposite gender. anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously a narrow minded moron who probably sees a relationship as a way to get sex on tap. either that or one of the biggoted fools that plague this planet

It's beyond me how anyone could be opposed to it to be honest. I don't think some people actualy make up their own minds, they read some s**te in a book and decide it must be true.

You're in Canada so this might not help, but in the United States, the First Amendment to the Constitution says that Congress can't restrict peaceable assembly. So if living together is peaceable, making gay marriage illegal is probably unconstitutional. Could be that calling it by something other than marriage might be constitutional.

Restricting marriage rights to heterosexuals may be unconstitutional, but more crucially homosexuality is un-Christian. Despite being a country where the church is meant to be entirely seperate to the state, Christianity is prevalent and any government which supports policies which are un-Christian is not likely to get far.

You don't agree with homosexuality? What do you find disagreeable about it?

So you don't really disgree with homosexuality, then. You're just saying that you're not gay.

You choose to be straight? Then I hate to break it to you, but I think you might be gay.
