he's well over-rated i think, some of hgis stuff is awesome.
the shining and such.

but he releases too much, most feel rushed and unfinished,
mindless brain wank alot of the time.
which is a shame, he's an incredibly talented writer.

Havent seen the film yet but it always disappoints me when they make his books into movies i swear the only good one was Stand by me(The Body).I loved that movie.

I agree most of the movies made from his books have been disapointing. But you should see Greemile with Tom Hanks, it is GREAT!! Even better then the Stand movie in my opinion.

Has anyone read Lisey's Story? Also good. It's a love story, King style.

I'm reading it now I can already see his darkness & oddity seeping in.

My favorite(s) from SK is 'The Dark Tower' Series. LOVE them. I also liked The 'Talismen' and the sequel to it 'Black House' (yes I know, it was co-written with Peter Straub )

It's impossible for me to pick only ONE.

'Rose Madder', 'Gerald's Game'& 'Insomnia' were amazing books.

I was one of the thousands that bought all 6 of 'The Green Mile' when it came out in parts. LOL

I can say something great about so many of his books.....but I won't

Out of all his books made into movies, The Dreamcatcher is pretty close. A lot was taken out, otherwise it would have been a 3+hr long movies.
