18/F/St. Paul, Minnesota Join Date: May 2008 | Who is this girl in front of me,
Who looks so dead inside?
All I see is anguish,
Bitter love and damaged pride.
Her eyes are cold and hollow,
And hold nothing else but tears;
And when I look inside them,
I can feel her every fear.
Her face is pale and gaunt,
As if she’s never seen the sun;
Perhaps it’s just because
Her life has come undone.
She stares and me with my own eyes,
She mocks me with my face,
She’s pretending to be me,
What a damn disgrace.
She mimics me with my own voice,
With everything I’ve said,
And sometimes I could swear
She hears the thoughts inside my head.
And when I move my hand,
She moves her own the same,
She has my thoughts and feelings,
She even has my name.
I struggle with this stranger,
Hoping to be free,
But how can I win this battle
when I'm only fighting me?
 Set me free, your heaven's a lie... |
