My council are changing the rubbish collections. They are collecting recyclables weekly and other rubbish fortnightly.

So i decided for a week to recycle everything possible and the result was at the end of the week i had one small bag of rubbish! Amazing

I did it because i have to get myself and the kids used to putting gla** in the gla** collecting bin, plastic in the plastics, paper in the paper etc etc. and it really made a difference.

The only problem is that i now have 4 separate bins outside my back door

Does anyone else have the same scheme run by your council?

I'm not entirely sure if we have the same scheme, but I'm sure I've heard about something similar

Well anyways I recycle all my old magazine and bit of paper and food packets that are recyclable My mum's finally got me into the habit of learning which bit of rubbish goes where

At the moment my rubbish and recycling gets picked up on the same day but they are seriously talking about making it a fortnightly collection round here too.

They don't even pick up recycling here yet.

If you want to recycle, you have to bring it to the recycling center yourself.

We don't have collections for gla** here. We can only do paper and plastics.

Our council is quite good. We have a bin for all recycling including paper, plastics, gla** etc then another for anything else and they are collected on alternate weeks!

Yea our council started that scheme ages ago, over a year we've been doing it now I'd say.

Works really well, or seems to

We just have this bignormous truck come, and a dirty hobo getting a free ride through town on it gets off, spits, grabs the garbage bag, (the rule is over fifty pounds, but if it feels over seven, it stays) and throws it in back. It's pretty cool.

I abstinated last night. It was incredible!

We have our recycling and our rubbish picked up once a week, I think. I'm not really sure. I just put my rubbish in the main bins whenever I feel like it!

There's 6 of us in my house and we're usually really good. I think we put out one rubbish bag and one recycling bag a week, which I think is very good for the amount of people living here, and the amount of cooking that goes on in this house!

Most people who do not compost eat all the food they bring home, lick their
plate clean, become obese and are a burden to the Health Care System!

Unintelligible!
